FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

RESPITE

  • No! Just a willing heart to serve and be trained for the role you are given.

  • Yes; when you sign up, you will be given the opportunity to read and agree with our statement of faith.

  • We accept volunteers 12 and up without parents. If younger than that, a parent must serve with the child.

  • We have limited overnight accommodations for volunteers, but would love to work with you if that is a challenge for you!

  • Daily devotional, worship, art activities, outdoor play, dancing, sensory play, water time, and more!

  • An individual impacted by disability at all ages.

  • Lunch, snacks (if limited diet), water bottle, any toileting items, and towel change of clothes on water day!

  • It is our goal to provide each respite participant a 1-on-1 companion to guide them through the day.

RETREATS

  • Yes; when you sign up, you will be given the opportunity to read and agree with our statement of faith.

  • When volunteers are 7-11 years old, they are a part of Volunteers in Training program. By 12 years old, you are able to be a standard volunteer. Under the age of 7, volunteer children are given companion to guide them through an inclusive experience at retreat.

  • Yes! As long as it is a registered service animal, it can attend with your family.

  • It is our goal to have all individuals with disability, young siblings, and young volunteer children, served by a 1-on-1 companion.

  • Siblings under the age of 12 are given a 1-on-1 companion. Once siblings turn 13, they are invited to a special Siblings Program during the week!
